Salvador Dali was an arrogant geek of surrealism. He, as well as Picasso and Miro, was enlightened on the land of Catalonia, Spain. His specific style of art and eccentric manner adds splendid glory to the oil painting history.
Dali was a skilled draftsman and a highly imaginative painter. He has gone through World War 2, before which he painted on of his most famous works “The Persistence of Memory” which took on a surrealistic image of melting pocket watches. After World War 2, the whole society entered an “atomic age”. Dali was inspired by the period and created “The Madonna of Port-Lligat”, “Corpus Hypercubus” and “La Gare de Perpignan” etc..
